LAHING PILIPINO

The Filipino people's resilience is honored in Christian Molina's first written song, Lahing Pilipino. The ability to withstand adversity, stay strong and courageous, and bounce back from difficult life events is applauded in the transition theme of this song.

Lahing Pilipino was written shortly after Christian Molina retired from his 29 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines. After almost three decades of service in the infantry army, Christian Molina rediscovered his love for music, which led him to compose a peppy tune as he dreamed of inspiring and uplifting his fellow countrymen.

Behind this melodious expression is the story of a six-horse team that pulled special artillery to protect the Filipino people. Christian crafted a tune during the instrumental opening that resembles a horse's high-pitched warning call, urging the enemy to retreat. The Adlib of Lahing Pilipino then used a powerful tune to portray a battle in which the horse brought victory to the Filipino people through its strength and speed.
